Des Bailey was awarded the 2004 NATROAD Professional Driver of the Year at the annual NATROAD conference at Novotel resort Coffs Harbour. The award is sponsored by Global Transport & Automotive Insurance. The award is to recognise a driver who has demonstrated a long term commitment to the industry, an outstanding safety & driving record and a professional attitude towards their job and the industry as a whole.
Des has been involved in the trucking industry for over 30 years. He constantly exceeds the expectations of customers, colleagues and authorities.
Des won a retail gift voucher, a personalised award Blazer, personalised trophy.
Des went on to be nominated for the Australian Trucking Association 2005 National Professional Driver of the Year. He was awarded this ultimate prestigious award from seven other finalists at the ATA’s
national conference in Newcastle April 2nd.
